Treadsone Performance Sponsored Racer : Hooman Rahimi
Hooman Rahimi was one of those people who once he experienced the thrill of power sliding, making big noise and gliding corners: immediately became hooked.
While attending Georgia Tech in Atlanta Hooman frequented Turner Field--previously home-of-the-Atlanta-Braves-turned-driving-course--and was determined
to find himself smoking down those lanes and claiming his place among the ranks.
His first drift car was a 91' Turbo MR2 but quickly discovered the hardships of handling a mid-engine build. Fastforward a couple years later Hooman bought a stock Nissan
350Z to use as his drift car AND daily driver. To his own amazement he garnered some podium placements against some much higher horsepower competitors.
The taste for victory grew and with it the understaning that he would need a car that didn't have any handicaps--lack of horsepower--and in this search he decided modding
out a 370Z is what was necessary to clench 1st place in Formula Drift PRO2.
Hooman Rahimi joined forces with his good friend Jonathan Cash Hurst and together are forming a team to take on PRO1 by next year.
